New trailer and gameplay changes

Posted by Rhys on Wednesday 8th June 2009 at 21:26pm

I've just uploaded a new trailer for the game. Check it out now on the Emotigeddon page.

I also tweaked the grappling hook, it now fires faster and pulls you faster. This makes it easier to use for those who lack dexterity :)

Game makeover complete

Posted by Rhys on Wednesday 3rd June 2009 at 17:56pm

It took longer than expected, but Emotigeddon has finally received a facelift :)

The game has new graphics for the enemy characters and pickups. My thanks to Ana Mirela Tache who did the character images for me, I love the new images and I'm very happy with the results. You can visit Ana's blog here: http://anamirela.blogspot.com

Also, the game has new music, which was provided by Imphenzia soundtrack. I love this music and it was available for a very reasonable price from the Imphenzia soundtrack website. http://soundtrack.imphenzia.com

The game also has a streamlined tutorial, which should get players into the game much quicker. Also, I've made a few performance tweaks for lower end machines. With tons of enemies on the screen, slower CPUs sometimes struggled. The game is less stressful on the CPU now because I cut out a ton of pointless line of sight raycasts.

So the game is much improved now, the fantastic new character images and music really improve the experience. Check out the new demo and the screenshots to see the new version. I will also be making a new gameplay trailer soon, so keep em peeled!

Website redesign and game makeover

Posted by Rhys on Thursday 21st May 2009 at 17:48pm

I have completely redesigned the website as you may notice :)

Emotigeddon has also had a face lift. The game has new graphics for the enemy characters. I am currently working on re-doing the other images in the game, and I am also adding music.

I'm hoping to get all this finished by sometime next week, so look forward to a new release!
